Our specialised yoga classes are designed to help you move, breathe and feel a greater sense of ease.
Each class is an invitation to enquire more deeply within. Through mindful movement, breathwork, deep relaxation and meditation, classes help encourage a deeper sense of self-compassion and understanding.
Classes are taught in weekly groups in person, live via Zoom, in one-to-one practices, or via online subscription.
Mindful Vinyasa
Mindful Vinyasa classes are uplifting, flowing-style yoga flows that are perfect for those new to yoga and those looking to deepen their experience. Expect dynamic yoga flows paired with breath, meditation and mindfulness in warm, friendly community. Classes run in person and live on Zoom, meaning you can join from wherever you are. With invitational guidance and plenty of variations on offer, these classes are suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome.
Yoga & Gong Baths
Gentle, nurturing yoga practices are paired with the soothing, vibrational healing of a gong bath. Led by Nicola, these sessions are deliberately slower-paced, soothing and a great way to relieve stress and mental tension. Expect the gentle vibrations of the sound bowls and/or gongs to deepen your journey within. No previous experience necessary; beginners very welcome.
Slow Flow & Yoga Nidra
A deepdive into real relaxation. Join us for a gentle flow with a restorative feel, along with a guided Yoga Nidra to access a deeper state of relaxation. Expect yoga poses that are closer to the ground to help ground and release, before settling into lying down with lots of props to unwind, rest and go within.
Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release
A slower, more meditative practice where shapes are held for longer periods of time. Expect adequate space to slow down, feel into your body and unwind more deeply. A yin practice offers us the opportunity to focus on the deeper connective tissues – fascia, ligaments, joints, bones and meridians – improving energy flow and soothing the mind and body. Paired with myofascial release, we are able to target fascia to help bring about a greater sense of ease and deep release.

Rest Clubs run monthly from The Sanctuary, a dedicated yoga studio on the outskirts of Chelmsford, Notley Yoga and Reiki Space in Castle Hedingham.
Nicola teaches private yoga classes in Chelmsford and Colchester, Essex. A private yoga class is a great way to tailor your practice to your individual needs. You might explore a particular style of practice, such as a Yin and Myofascial release session; a relaxation practice, or something else.
One-to-one sessions are also a great introduction to yoga and can help build confidence before joining a public class, or help develop your practice.
I can also design sessions for small groups or ocasions.
